Amnesty International lança livro, o “We Are All Born Free”

Todas as pessoas nascem livres e iguais em dignidade e direitos. São dotadas de razão e consciência e devem agir em relação umas às outras com espírito de fraternidade. A Declaração Universal dos Direitos Humanos é um dos documentos básicos das Nações Unidas e foi assinada em 1948. Nela, são enumerados os direitos que todos os seres humanos possuem. Depois de mostrar um maravilhoso vídeo tipográfico feito para essa Declaração aqui no blog, agora chegou a vez da campanha para o livro “We are all born free”, que surge com um curta, que marca o 60º aniversário da Declaração Universal dos Direitos Humanos, que deve ser enviado para todas as escolas no país, como parte de uma nova campanha da Anistia Internacional.
Estrelado por Julian Rhind-Tutt (de Green Wind) - e também com vozes de estrelas incluindo Emilia Fox, Jeremy Irons e Lindsay Duncan - o filme também está sendo exibido antes do filme High School Musical 3, em muitos cinemas a partir de hoje. O curta, chamado “Everybody”, pretende trazer o tema dos direitos humanos à vida da nova geração, através desse livro. We Are All Born Free é escrito em 5 idiomas e repleto de ilustrações, feitas pelos maiores ilustradores infantis do mundo. (veja as ilustrações aqui).
A campanha contará ainda com exposição itinerante das ilustrações de “We Are All Born Free” em Londres e apresentações em escolas. O livro pode ser adquirido no site da iniciativa. Kate Allen, diretora da Amnesty International UK, disse: “We Are All Born Free é um livro deslumbrante, e “Everybody” é um filme maravilhoso. Esperamos que ambos inspirem uma nova geração de pessoas para defender a justiça.
